Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Literacy
Services Coordinator, the primary task will be developing the Financial
Literacy program. Responsibilities will include recruiting
participants and volunteers, coordinating a financial literacy advisory
committee, delivering instruction in English and Spanish, developing a
clearinghouse of resource information, performing outreach in the
community and researching funding options for sustainability.
This is a
full-time “volunteer” placement through AmeriCorps*VISTA.
Compensation includes a monthly stipend (approximately $833/month; a
$4,725 education award; basic health insurance, moving expenses, and
more).
